VP Tension: A Text Message from ‘The One’ Awaits

A while back Barack Obama said that his vice presidential pick would be known first to his “supporters” via text message. So I signed up.

The announcement could come today, and most certainly it will be known before the end of the week. When I get the message you’ll be the first to know. I’m going to spend a few cents so you don’t have to.

John Kerry? God I hope so. Joe Biden? Please Lord! Evan Bayh seems the most likely choice though.

But… don’t discount Hillary. They didn’t reserve a healthy chunk of time for her at the convention for nothing. Sure, she’s probably got their FBI files, but still, there could be more to it.

Also, my cell phone is deep in my front pocket and set on vibrate just so I can experience a little of what Chris Matthews goes through when he sees Obama. All the bases are covered.

Update: McCain will announce his veep next Friday in Ohio. John Kasich perhaps because of the Ohio venue? I’m trying to remain optimistic but something keeps telling me to prepare for a huge disappointment.
