Movie Trailers Will Never Be the Same

Don LaFontaine is a man whose name and face you may not recognize (other than maybe from some GEICO ads), but I’m sure you’ve heard the great voice in hundreds of movie trailers.

LaFontaine died yesterday in Los Angeles. His movie trailer voice, which often began “In a world where…” will be irreplaceable, with the exception of a million able impressionists.

Update: Jerry Reed died too. Crap, that makes two… Hopefully Geraldo’s career will be the third.
