Pelosi: Extending Unemployment Benefits Would Make a Difference of 600,000 Jobs

Nancy Pelosi continues to run with the laughable liberal economic model that is “the most jobs are created when as many people as possible are out of work.” She’s said it before, but this is the first time I’ve heard her put a number on it.

From CNS News:

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that extending unemployment benefits would add “600,000 jobs to our economy.”

She also said that the money from unemployment benefits creates a “safety net” for the U.S. economy because it “injects demand into the economy — creating jobs.”

I agree that extending unemployment will add hundreds of thousands if not millions of jobs — provided that unemployment is extended to Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barack Obama, et al. Only until voters start giving their ilk pink slips next November can we start to put America back to work.
