Latest Obama Ad: Don’t Believe Those Out-of-Context Exact Quotes From My Roanoke Speech — of Course You Built Your Business

2008: Hope & Change

2012: You gonna believe me or your lying eyes and ears?

Everybody remembers this, right?

The Obama campaign has been forced to spin that so much that they’ve become addicted to Dramamine, so now Obama’s got a new ad explaining that your ears and brain took him out of context the first time:

Dang, that’s Obama’s version of O’Donnell’s “I am not a witch” ad.

Obama Gives Shout-Out to Fundraiser Organizer/Gay Porn Kingpin (Not Necessarily in That Order)

Here’s President A Lot On His Plate yesterday thanking a guy named Terry Bean for organizing a fundraiser in Portland, Oregon:

A little background on Bean from 2008:

ONE of the “bundlers” who has raised $50,000 to $100,000 for the Barack Obama presidential campaign is Terrence Bean, who once controlled the biggest producer of gay porn in America.

Bean, the first gay on Sen. Obama’s National Finance Committee, is the sole trustee of the Charles M. Holmes Foundation, which owned Falcon Studios, Jock Studios and Mustang Studios, the producers of about $10 million worth of all-male pornography a year.

None of this is a surprise. After all, we’re talking about the first gay president.

I’ve since heard that the president managed to alienate Bean because after the fundraiser Obama reminded him “you didn’t make that gay porno — somebody else made that happen!”

By the way, there’s no truth to the rumor that after the fundraiser the audience was treated to a screening of the movies “Oceans Eleven and a Half,” “The Sands of Fire Island” and “Cliff Banger.”

Was the Aurora murderer’s rampage funded by taxpayers?

The story continues to unfold:

– University of Colorado officials disclosed Monday that mass shooting suspect James Holmes was being paid $26,000 a year for his studies — money that could have financed the cache of firearms, ammunition and explosive devices found in his apartment.

Holmes, 24, unexpectedly dropped out of an elite neuroscience graduate program June 10 after failing part of his first-year final exam. School officials say they were stunned to learn of his arrest Friday after a shooting rampage at a packed movie house a few miles from campus that left 12 dead and 58 injured. Police found Holmes’ apartment near campus filled with booby-trapped explosive devices.

For some reason, a recent presidential speech that revolved around the theme “you didn’t do that on your own, you had some help from the government” is stuck in my head.

Meanwhile, I’m told ABC’s Brian Ross is preparing to re-connect the killer to the Tea Party because Ross found a guy who had a friend whose uncle was a Tea Partier who once also received a government grant to go to college.

Sen. Feinstein: White House responsible for classified national security leaks; Update: ‘Uh, I Didn’t Really Mean That’

Last month, David Axelrod said with absolute certainty that the White House was not the source of the leaks that the Attorney General’s office is now supposedly investigating (don’t hold your breath). The leaks just happened to portray Obama as Captain Kickass on the international security front, and even allege that our very own Nobel Peace Prize winner personally oversees a “kill list.”

Axelrod might want to go have a chat with liberal Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who doesn’t seem to be nearly as certain:

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said Monday that someone at the White House was responsible for the recent leaks of classified information.

“I think the White House has to understand that some of this is coming from their ranks,” Feinstein said in an address at the World Affairs Council, The Associated Press first reported.

Feinstein said she was certain that President Obama had not disclosed any of the classified intelligence, but believed others in the administration were responsible.

President Obama previously said he was offended by charges of purposeful leaking. In that case he’ll want to avoid listening to Romney’s speech to the VFW today:

Update; Well naturally… Feinstein today not only walked back her “the White House was in on the leaks” comments, but she blamed Mitt Romney for accurately quoting her. Gee, that sounds familiar.

Comedy Break: Left Wing Gun Grabber Tries to Describe Kind of Guns That Should Be Grabbed

I don’t know why anybody would want to be a guest on Cenk Uygur’s show — unless it was recommended by your contact at the Federal Witness Protection Program as the best way to make yourself scarce — but if you did, and spoke out on a subject you were clearly clueless about, the host would certainly call you out. That’s why it’s so much fun to watch the left, most who have no idea what they’re talking about concerning firearms, describe why certain guns should be banned:

Who can argue with that level of expertise? Go on his show and argue that Obamacare should be repealed while making it clear you don’t know anything about the individual mandate or what it does and he’d laugh you off the set.

It’s hard to believe that kind of genius stuck in obscurity at Current TV — the media equivalent of being sent to Siberia.

Not long ago these same people were fawning all over the Supreme Court for affirming Obamacare, but they quickly forgot that same Court upheld Americans’ fundamental Second Amendment rights.

I’d also encourage Uygur not to read this story.

Dueling Headlines, Full Presidential Plate Edition

Actually, in the interest of full disclosure, it’s headline vs. Tweet today.

Remember this from just a few days ago?

Obama’s got a “lot on his plate” according to White House Spokescomedian Jay Carney.

Here’s a glance at the president’s plate this evening:

Obama’s used to seeing a lot on the plate though… upwards of $35,800 per as a matter of fact.

In other news, Obama must be a worried about the Jewish vote this year — but only a little. An Obama campaign aide said that, for the first time as president, The One will visit Israel… in his second term.

Nice message: “Hey Jewish voters, if you want the Lightworker to take the magic on the road to Tel Aviv, ya gotta pony up in November!”

Isikoff: The AR-15 Used in Aurora Theater Shooting? Bush’s Fault

Watching elite media “journalists” trying to act like they know what they’re talking about when it comes to the subject of guns is a pitiful experience. I think that just as many of them know the definition of “assault rifle” as know the meaning of “objectivity.”

That aside, you just knew somebody would be able to make the trail lead to Bush for at least some element of the Aurora, Colorado shootings, and Michael Isikoff, formerly of Newsweek and currently with NBC, managed to connect the dots straight to W:

What we do know is that he purchased those four weapons recovered from him, the two Glock pistols, the shotgun, and that AR-15 assault rifle, legally in Colorado, although it is worth mentioning – and this is something gun control groups are emphasizing today – that that AR-15 is something that was illegal as recently as 10 years ago.

There was an assault weapons ban in this country from 1994 to 2004 that was lifted under President Bush. President Obama had pledged during his campaign to restore it. He has dropped that issue, so the assault, that AR-15 is a legal weapon now but was not 10 years go.

Does it never occur to these geniuses that maybe he’d have just gotten a different kind of gun? I’m continually amazed by the left’s obsession with the notion that people capable of mass murder will otherwise be law-abiding citizens when it comes to their armament purchases.

Here’s a story about a shooting in Aurora at a church earlier this year that was brought to a fast end because somebody in the congregation had a gun.

According to Dianne Feinstein, it would have been worse if somebody in the theater had been carrying a gun. I kid you not: “And maybe you could have had a fire fight and killed many more people.”

Well in that case why even call the cops and, according to Feinstein, risk making the situation more dangerous? Eventually Holmes would have run out of bullets, right? No need to risk even more lives by shooting back at the guy.

You know who else wants to get rid of guns? Salman Rushdie. Dude, think it through.

Tony Robbins’ ‘Awaken the Third Degree Burns Agony Within’ Seminar Goes Off as Expected

I can’t even walk across a beach on a hot day barefoot without yelping in pain, but maybe I’ll do it more now that I realize it was subtly adjusting my neuro-linguistic programming, thereby allowing me to achieve my life goals. And that was just sand — imagine how walking across 2,000-degree coals can change your life… after you’re released from the burn unit, that is.

From the Washington Post:

Fire officials said 21 people at an event hosted by motivational speaker Tony Robbins suffered burns while walking across hot coals and three of the injured were treated at hospitals.

The injuries took place during the first day Thursday of a four-day event at the San Jose Convention Center hosted by Robbins called “Unleash the Power Within.” Most of those hurt had second and third degree burns, said San Jose Fire Department Capt. Reggie Williams.

Walking across hot coals on lanes measuring 10 feet long and heated to between 1,200 to 2,000 degrees provides attendees an opportunity to “understand that there is absolutely nothing you can’t overcome,” according to the motivational speaker’s website.
Organizers had an “open burn permit” and medical staff at the event, and there was also a fire inspector on the scene, Williams said.

“Once they (the medical staff) became overwhelmed, our inspector called for us,” Williams said.

Witness Jonathan Correll was not attending the event, but when he saw a large crowd gathered on a closed-off surface street near the convention center, he got off the light rail he was riding to see what was going on.

“I just heard these screams of agony,” he told The Associated Press. People were in pain. It sounded like people were being tortured.”

Correll, 25, of San Jose, said he saw three ambulances, about 10 to 15 people on the ground being treated by paramedics and some people being wheeled away on stretchers.

“It was really just chaos,” he said.

Ann Althouse asks, “Do you have what it takes to be a regional manager?”

According to Robbins, those who failed the hot coal test have to do some sole-searching.

Due to His Ability to Remain Objective While Reporting on Google-Searched Tea Party Members Who Happen to Have the Same Names as Mass Murderers, ABC News Confirms Brian Ross Will Continue to Cover the Colorado Shooting Story

Fired? Hell no. Where Brian Ross works, what he did will probably earn him a promotion.

From Politico:

ABC News chief investigative correspondent Brian Ross will continue to cover the Colorado theater shooting for the network, despite his incorrect report early Friday morning drawing a possible connection between shooting suspect James Holmes and the Tea Party.

Ross reported on the shooting for Friday night’s edition of World News and again on Saturday’s edition of Good Morning America. A spokesperson with the network confirmed that Ross would continue to cover the fallout from the shooting for ABC.

While in Colorado, Ross is bound to see an anti Obama bumper sticker in the vicinity of Aurora. That should be enough for him to definitively re-connect the Tea Party to the theater shooting.

Brian Ross Still Has a Job — What Further Evidence of Sanctioned Bias Do We Need?

Not only does ABC News’ Brian Ross still have a job, but according to the James Holmes that Ross said might have something to do with the Colorado theater shootings Friday morning (after all, he’s a Tea Partier!), he hasn’t personally been contacted by anybody from ABC News.

This is one of those rare times I wish I was a lawyer. I’d represent this guy for free.

Breitbart News spoke to James Michael Holmes, the Tea Party member falsely identified this morning by ABC News’ Brian Ross and George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America as the possible suspect in the mass shooting early this morning at a screening of the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises. He is a 52-year-old Hispanic conservative who joined the Tea Party after becoming disillusioned with the Republican party.

“It was freaky,” said Holmes, describing his reaction when ABC News speculated that he was the culprit who entered a crowded theater and opened fire on dozens of innocent men, women, and children. He disconnected his telephone and says that he is worried about members of his family who might be contacted by the media.

The Jim Holmes of the Tea Party called Ross “blatantly lazy” — but this had nothing to do with being lazy. “Lazy” would have been grabbing the first “Jim Holmes” that popped up in the Denver area on Google and assuming that person was the killer. What Ross did was find a Tea Partier who had the same name in order to lead viewers to believe he might have been the perp even though Ross knew that probably wasn’t the case. It was anything but a lazy or innocent mistake on the part of Ross.

Often reporters play connect-the-dots, but in the case of Brian Ross he created the dots and left it to viewers to connect them so it would lead them right where he wanted them to go. If ABC News keeps him on they’ve lost whatever credibility they had left — if any. Same goes for George Stephanopoulos, who just nodded in approval and didn’t challenge in the least something that Brian Ross wanted so badly to be true.

If the suits at ABC News actually believe Ross made a “mistake,” they’ve been fooling themselves for so long they too are part of the problem.

And it’s not like this is the only “mistake” Ross has ever made. Politico has others, but this is the most recent — if you don’t count yesterday’s:

In 2010, Ross reported that a defect in Toyota cars was responsible for “unintended acceleration.” As part of his report, he showed video footage of the Toyota’s tachometer going from 1,000 RPMs to 6,000 RPMs in a single second. But the same footage revealed that the car was actually parked with the doors open when Ross claimed it was moving. ABC News confirmed that the stage footage had been spliced into Ross’s video.

This is what continues to pass as a credible journalist, all with the blessing of the ABC News management.
