ISIS spreading like wildfire, so Obama ramps up war against Republicans

In all seriousness, can the country endure 14 more months of this utter bullshit without being irreparably harmed (even though it probably already is)?

ISIL’s still not the varsity team, President Barack Obama said Sunday, but if Republicans running for president and in Congress continue to respond to attacks by playing off fears, they’re doing the terrorists’ work for them.

A Republican reaction that’s tried to block refugees from entering the country — and members of the media whom he blamed for lacking perspective in coverage over the past week — give in to fear as the terrorists want, help them recruit and let a group of people who’d have no hope of actually defeating American forces on the battlefield win anyway.

Upending American policy and talking about Christian-Muslim tests for entry that he said accept ISIL’s terms of a religious war will increase the threat of more attacks. “Prejudice and discrimination helps ISIL and undermines our national security,” Obama said.

Even as Obama credited the group, also known as the Islamic State, for the Paris attacks, and, for the first time publicly, for taking down a Russian passenger jet in Egypt, Obama repeatedly spoke about the limitations of the terrorist network that two years ago he referred to as the “JV team” — a remark that his critics still cite as evidence that he underestimates the threat.

“They’re a bunch of killers with good social media,” Obama told reporters Sunday. They are “dangerous,” he said, but, he added: “Our way of life is stronger. We have more to offer.”
[…]
Letting that happen, Obama said, or letting politicians get away with reactions like proposing a religious test for entry — as he several times condemned Republican presidential candidates for doing — is the essence of giving in.

“They can’t beat us on the battlefield, so they try to terrorize us into being afraid, into changing our patterns of behavior, into abandoning our allies and partners into retreating from the world,” Obama said. “As president I will not let that happen.”

Yeah, ISIS really appreciates Republicans’ help and shudders in fear of the president who won’t say “Islamic terrorism” and believes “climate change” is the world’s biggest security threat.

About the ‘widows and orphans’ Obama says are the bulk of refugees (plus: Michael Moore offers them a place to stay)

The wind-up:

“Widows and orphans”? OK.

And the pitch:

But on the plus side for the refugees, noted anti-capitalist Michael Moore’s invited them to stay at one of his homes (it’ll teach them that in the U.S. even leftists who loathe greed have multiple houses). Moore also called Michigan Governor Snyder “un-American,” which is a back-handed compliment coming from a guy who does nothing but bitch about how horrible America is.

Within hours of the Benghazi attack, Obama admin officials took quick action by calling … YouTube?

Let those intent on harming Americans be put on notice: If you plan to harm or do harm a U.S. citizen, the Obama administration will swiftly and decisively contact video sharing websites:

Judicial Watch today released new State Department documents that raise more questions about the September 11, 2012, terrorist attack on the U.S. Special Mission at Benghazi, Libya. The documents show the White House contacted YouTube over an Internet video as one of its first moves after the initial attack.

The documents, from the agency’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security, were provided to Judicial Watch in response to a court order in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on October 16, 2014, (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:14-cv-01733)). The lawsuit seeks “any and all logs, reports, or other records” the Washington-based Diplomatic Security Command Center produced between September 10, 2012, and September 13, 2012, relating to the terrorist attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi, Libya.”

The documents detail that only three hours after the initial attack on U.S. personnel in Benghazi, the White House contacted YouTube in an apparent effort to initially blame the assault on an obscure “Pastor John video,” rather than filmmaker Nakoula “Mark” Basseley Nakoula. The administration falsely claimed that Nakoula’s video, “Innocence of Muslims,” provoked the attack.

The documents are dissected here.

Hillary later flat-out lied to some family members of Benghazi victims by blaming “The Innocence of Muslims” video when it was in fact a planned, coordinated attack on the anniversary if 9/11.

Now there’s a good chance the same person who led the “it was the video” scapegoating might be put in charge of U.S. national security. Sleep well!

Reminder: Obama admin still scouting locations for Gitmo North in the US

Apparently President Obama realizes there isn’t enough time left in his final term to be able to trade away the rest of the detainees at the U.S. detention center in Guantanamo Bay, but he’s determined to shut it down even if his administration has to put the prisoners in our backyards:

A team of Pentagon officials began scouting sites in Colorado on Tuesday as potential alternatives to hold prisoners from Guantanamo Bay as part of the long-stalled effort to close the controversial detention center on the U.S. base in Cuba.

The team planned to assess facilities at the Federal Correctional Complex in Florence and the state penitentiary in Canon City as alternatives for a “limited” number of detainees from Guantanamo, said Navy Cmdr. Gary Ross, a Pentagon spokesman.

They are looking at what changes would be needed to the facilities in Colorado to detain the prisoners and to hold proceedings for those facing trial by military commission, Ross said.

The Pentagon team also has also surveyed the Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and the Naval Consolidated Brig in Charleston, South Carolina.

Nowhere near the Beltway is under consideration? Hey, they’re not stupid. Obama, Biden and Kerry also aren’t insisting on either Chicago, Wilmington or Nantucket as possible locations? Real surprising. Maybe the detainees should be given jobs giving tours of the “He Ended the War in Afghanistan More Than Once” wing of Obama’s presidential library after it opens.

Pair of mostly peaceful Ferguson protesters sentenced to 7 years in prison

I’m still waiting to see how many media outlets can work the words “mostly peaceful” into stories about these wannabe terrorists being sentenced to prison:

Two St. Louis men were ordered Thursday to spend seven years in federal prison for planning a foiled bomb attack targeting the Ferguson police chief, the county’s prosecutor and other officials after last year’s police shooting death of Michael Brown.

The sentences for Brandon Orlando Baldwin, 24, and Olajuwon Davis, 23 – identified by federal agents as New Black Panther Party members – mirrored those agreed upon by the men when they pleaded guilty in June to four felony counts, including conspiring to use explosives and making false written statements while buying firearms.

The men wanted to try to wreak greater havoc, but something was holding them back:

I’m tempted to say it should be a “red flag” if your bomb salesman tells you he’ll accept your girlfriend’s EBT as payment, but knowing what you can buy with SNAP cards these days maybe it’s not so out of the ordinary.

So how’s Obama’s plan to bring ISIS to its knees going?

Last year:

Today:

But I’m totally confident that the White House is correct when they claim their beloved Iran deal will degrade and ultimately eliminate Tehran’s ability to make a nuclear weapon.

Much of the MSM would like to ignore the elephant in the room in Garland, Texas; Updated

It’s looking more like the attempt at mass murder in Garland, Texas that left two would-be jihadists dead over the weekend had ISIS fingerprints on it:

But even still…

It seems like this evidence that ISIS’ reach now extends to the U.S. would be the big story, but a large segment of the press would rather blame radical Islam’s critics. Sticking their heads up their asses is easier than facing reality.

We’ll see how the MSM feels when the self-proclaimed “judge, jury and executioner” of speech is parked outside their doors — after the media has surrendered to them while blaming right-wing critics of Islamic extremism, of course.

Update:

In a statement, ISIS took “credit” for the Garland, Texas attempted attack that was thwarted, and said the terrorist group has dozens of “soldiers” in 15 states ready to carry out attacks.

On the other hand, the White House’s Josh Earnest called what happened in Garland a “lone wolf” attack.

So **who are you going to believe?

**Rhetorical question of the week sponsored by Max-Lite Ear Plugs — when you don’t need to hear the response to know what the answer is, make it Max-Lite!

Update II: If “journalism” were hockey, the AP would be serving a 10-minute major in the penalty box for this pathetic spin:

ISIS kills more Christians, threatens another 9/11, and Obama focuses on this ‘no greater threat’ that we face

ISIS is still on their murderous rampage. Here’s the latest:

They’re also calling for broader and more spectacular terrorist atrocities:

Meanwhile, Obama’s calling out the real threat the world faces:

These clowns still have over a year and a half left in office.

If only the world would have offered ‘Jihadi John’ some economic opportunity…

Last week, State Department spokesclown Marie Harf claimed that one ingredient in fighting terrorism is aiding in job creation so they have other opportunities and options. Obama agreed in an op-ed, writing that “the world has to offer today’s youth something better.”

If only this guy had been provided with some economic opportunity growing up:

The world knows him as “Jihadi John,” the masked man with a British accent who has beheaded several hostages held by the Islamic State and who taunts audiences in videos circulated widely online.

But his real name, according to friends and others familiar with his case, is Mohammed Emwazi, a Briton from a well-to-do family who grew up in West London and graduated from college with a degree in computer programming. He is believed to have traveled to Syria around 2012 and to have later joined the Islamic State, the group whose barbarity he has come to symbolize.

According to the Obama/State Department model, the poor kid never had a chance!

Mall of America worried their preferred method to repel potential terrorists won’t be effective?

The loose-lipped Department of Homeland Security Director Jeh Johnson (I long for the days of the warming confidence radiated by Janet Napolitano) said Sunday that shoppers at the Mall of America should be “particularly careful” because of a threat made against the MOA by Al-Shabaab.

Up to now, this is how the Mall of America was kept secure (via Doug Ross):

mallofamerica

This might shock you, but the authorities now think that might not be enough to deter terrorists.

The MOA has since beefed up security measures and isn’t only relying on the signs. Maybe the “gun free zone” signs should be re-enforced with State Department “violent extremism neighborhood watch” signs for an added layer of anti-terror protection.
